Sir Elton John to perform at George Michael's funeral?

Elton John Pays Tribute To

Elton John might perform at George Michael's funeral, if reports from United Kingdom paper Metro are to be believed.

The 53-year old was found dead in his bed on Christmas Day by his partner Fadi Fawaz, after suffering a reported heart attack.

Michael and John first performed the song together at Live Aid in 1984 and John joined him for another duet of the song at Michael's famed Wembley concert in 1991.

And it's highly unlikely there will be a dry eye in the room as Elton is determined to pull out all the stops - like he did when he sang Candle In The Wind at Princess Diana's funeral in Westminster Abbey, London, nearly 10 years ago. It will be the biggest funeral since George's mate Di's.

"There will be so many mourners and friends".

Elton John previously paid musical tribute to the late Princess Diana at her funeral in Westminster Abbey.

It is also believed that the star will be buried next his mother Lesley in Highgate Cemetery.

Shortly after his death had been announced, Elton took to his Twitter account to pay tribute to his "beloved friend" and praise him on his generosity and talent. In a post to his Instagram, he said that he was in "deep shock". My heart goes out to his family and all of his fans.
