On Monday, the Bengals waived fourth year wide receiver James Wright, a former seventh round draft pick by the Bengals from the 2014 NFL Draft.

The Bengals selected Wright in the seventh round of the 2014 National Football League draft out of Louisiana State University.

The Cleveland Browns have added another player from the in-state and AFC north division rival Cincinnati Bengals. In his first two seasons in Cincinnati, Wright played wide receiver under current Browns head coach Hue Jackson. Although Barwin had only five sacks for the Eagles last season, he is two seasons removed from a Pro Bowl season in which he recorded 14.5 sacks for Philadelphia.

In 2016, Wright played 13 games with the Bengals, catching 13 passes for 106 yards.

Wright, 6-foot and 203 pounds, has registered 16 career special-teams tackles. 13 of his 18 career receptions took place last season. The injury happened late in his rookie season of 2014.

Smith, 30, left the Bengals last offseason and signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings.
