Capcom announces 'Disney Afternoon Collection' with six 1080p retro classics

We know Capcom is focusing a lot on remasters and re-releases, but six NES classics have been dredged up and risen from their graves for a PC, PS4, and Xbox One collection.

They were really fun, the music was incredible, and now they're coming back in the Disney Afternoon Collection. The beautifully restored classic games feature crisp 1080p support and include all-new modes which can be enjoyed by first-time players and long-time fans. The NES was a pretty niche console in the United Kingdom, especially outside the obvious Nintendo classics, and we're not sure how many United Kingdom gamers actually know or care about games like Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers 1 and 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales 1 and 2, and TaleSpin. These were once my jam, and they shall be my jam anew. It's a great way to learn how to play these challenging games. Just like Rare Replay, the museum provides gamers with a wealth of content which released with the original games.

Best of all, The Disney Afternoon Collection adds a new Rewind feature which makes it easier for games who dislike precise platforming challenges. If a part of the game trips you up, you can press the left trigger to briefly rewind backward and take another shot at that portion of the level. This is a collection of six remastered Disney games that originally appeared on the NES.

The Disney Afternoon Collection is due April 18 on PC, and costs $19.99/your regional equivalent. The most notable addition to these games is a new "rewind" feature that allows players to turn back time, thus making these old-timey sidescrollers accessible to the softer, newer generations accustomed to the ease of modern 3D gaming.
