Gas in Massachusetts up another 4 cents per gallon

AAA Michigan: Statewide average gas prices fall 6 cents

The Energy Information Administration recently forecast that retail gas will cost an average of $2.46 a gallon from April through September, up from $2.23 a gallon over the summer of 2016.

Honolulu- $2.90/g, flat from last week's $2.90/g.

Compared with the same day previous year, Monday's national average price of $2.410 is about 35 cents a gallon higher. Brent crude, used to price worldwide oils, added 3 cents to close at $55.89 per barrel in London.

Hiltz says Michigan's average is about 37 higher than at this time previous year.

Gas prices are still climbing in northern New England.

Anchorage- $2.75/g, up 1.3 cents per gallon from last week's $2.74/g.

West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices have risen 12% from $47.34 per barrel on March 21 to $53.14 per barrel in early trading this morning, fueling much of the rise in gasoline prices.

"Motorists have gotten used to gas prices under $3 a gallon and that will continue", said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst for the gas price tracking firm GasBuddy. The national average was $2.41, up slightly from $2.39 one week ago.

Rising gasoline prices in Florida and across the nation hit the skids over the weekend, bringing at least a temporary halt to rising prices at the pump that have increased through most of April, according to the AAA Auto Club. The highest average was about $2.53 in the Jackson area. The area's gas prices are 39 cents a gallon higher that a year ago. The usual suspects saw the nation's priciest gallon: Hawaii ($3.08), California ($3.01), Washington ($2.90), Alaska ($2.86) and OR ($2.75).
