It's unclear what Kouandjio was doing or how he got into the field, located about a 5-minute drive from Bills headquarters.

The statement continues, "We dont' have all the details, so we won't have any further comment at this time". When the player's vehicle was found abandoned, a search was conducted and Bills gear was discovered, according to the source.

Police confirmed the vehicle belonged to Kouandjio after checking the license. When found, per the report, Kouandjio asked police to shoot him. They suspect he then went into the field on foot, the site writes.

Police were not initially aware of Kouandjio's identity, the source said. Going to continue to keep praying for him.

It's not clear how Kouandjio ended up in the field where he was discovered - it appeared he walked from a nearby road - but his auto was found close to an accident scene where police were diverting traffic.

Kouandjio was not arrested, but taken to Erie County Medical Center for observation.
