New NASCAR Heat Game Coming To PS4/Xbox One/PC This Fall

Monster Games is returning as the developer, and 704Games promises to include "enhanced online multiplayer, a deeper career mode, track updates, additional drivers and other features in line with the 2017 NASCAR-sanctioned national series formats". Monster Games had been involved with a popular series on PlayStation 2, NASCAR Heat, when EA snapped up an exclusive pact to make video games in 2002.

704Games announced today that NASCAR Heat 2 will be coming out this fall. "This new game will have a very different look and an enhanced overall experience that reflects the insights of actual NASCAR drivers".

Like past year, 704 Games will use the results of an upcoming race to determine NASCAR Heat 2's cover athlete. "We added a slew of new features created to take NASCAR games back to their roots, while delivering an authentic racing experience for fans".

704Games is again working with Toyota, an Official NASCAR Partner, for a new cover athlete competition.

Until Friday, May 19, you can vote on the cover athlete for NASCAR Heat Evolution. The two top vote-getters will face off in a race at Monster Energy All-Star Race on May 20.

Polygon scored NASCAR Heat Evolution a 7.5, noting the game's bare-bones presentation and career modes and lamenting some of the shortcomings in its online stability.
