Macron welcomes guest of honour Trump at Paris Bastille Day celebrations

France's Macron Prepares to Welcome Trump, an Unlikely Partner

Trump called the accord "unfair" as the greenhouse gas emissions goals and financing provisions he believed benefitted foreign nations, and this includes France, over the United States.

Addressing the crowd, Macron thanked the USA for coming to France's aid, adding "nothing will ever separate us".

He had also added that the United States was walking out of the accord as it was putting U.S. industry at risk.

Weeks after Macron hosted Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Palace of Versailles, Trump will bask in the trappings of the Bastille Day military parade on Friday and commemorations of the entry 100 years ago of US troops into World War One.

The state pomp was matched by personal gestures.

The first time Emmanuel and Donald met, in Brussels, they shared a long, tense handshake. He's 39, she's 64 - which you know has to be making Trump's insane orange head spin, right?

"So I was asked to go by the President, who I get along with very well".

Shortly after his speech, Macron and Trump walked down from the tribune where they were sitting to stand in front of giant French and American flags that were unfurled by soldiers.

Accompanied by their husbands, US President Donald Trump, and French President, Emmanuel Macron, the Presidential couples dined at the Eiffel Tower last night and celebrated the occasion in equally show-stopping outfits.

They also talked about Libya, Iraq, Syria, Russia, and Ukraine.

Trump's visit to Paris has drawn global attention.

Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. recently admitted that he had set up a meeting previous year with a woman he believed was a Russian government lawyer brandishing Kremlin dirt on Hillary Clinton.

"There was one uncomfortable moment later on", Kimmel said.

He said that he and Russian Federation were working "on a second ceasefire in a very rough part of Syria". That's what I do.

"He's not going to be easy on people who are breaking the law", Trump added.

Late today, Lynch said she had nothing to do with it.

The two pledged to work together on counter-terrorism and environmental efforts.
