Saif Ali Khan to feature in Netflix original series 'Sacred Games'

Saif To Play A Gravely Ill Character

Of the film, Saif, 46, told news agency IANS, " Kaalakaandi is a film I'm so happy to be a part of. Since Verma is the writer of the 2011 film Delhi Belly, known for its toilet humour, Saif is all set for a quirky collaboration with Verma in Kaalakandi. The film is directed by Akshat Verma and produced by Rohit Khattar and Ashi Dua by Cinestaan Film Company. So, the characters in the story are mostly about the different walks of life.

Saif Ali Khan will make his Netflix debut with an original series "Sacred Games" based on author Vikram Chandra's best-selling novel by the same name.

In the 37 seconds video the actor has been seen doing several insane acts and at one point of the teaser Saif is even confused about his own activities and said "I'm sorry I don't know why I did that". "It's a cross-section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers, and idealistic lovers all mixed in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night". The movie also features Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raz, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in crucial roles. We say that because he is seen doing outlandish things, without even realising that he is actually doing it.

Shashwat Sachdev composed the music for Kaalakaandi. Saif is seen sporting a crisp white shirt but it is the accessories that lend quirk to the picture. The visuals and edition are done by Himman Dhamija and Rahul Purav respectively. The gala event of Bollywood will take place this year on July 14 and July 15. While a fresh lease of online life could very well be possible (and he'll have the first-mover advantage), it's worth noting that he has an interesting bunch of films lined-up. Stay tuned for more updates about the film.
