Also, the new Nokia 3310 3G comes with new customisation options for rearranging icons and choosing color themes with an all-new retro UI. Operating since December 2016, the company develops and markets smartphones and feature phones under the "Nokia" brand name. "Fans asked, we listened, and today welcome the Nokia 3310 3G", enthused Juho Sarvikas, chief product officer at HMD Global. The phone is a dual sim phone and now supports 3G connectivity.

Now there is a new Nokia 3310 3G on offer with two new color variants. The new Nokia 3310 3G release date has been set for October this year, but it doesn't have a cost attached. It will be available through carriers like Optus and Vodafone in Australia.

Nokia also announced that the Nokia 5 will get a slight update with a 3GB RAM variant that will be exclusive locally to Telstra prepaid customers when it launches in October. Instead, it appears that the 3310 3G comes with a few pre-installed apps - Facebook and Twitter specifically - that allow you to use the phone for a limited number of internet-connected activities. In the new variant, the biggest change is 3G connectivity. This year's Nokia 3310 refresh carried forward the original model's legendary battery life. The new Nokia 3310 3G handset is likely to be made available in more markets soon.

Everything more or less remain same, however, there is improvement in the 3G version. The phone has been slightly redesigned as there is more spacing between the buttons. The phone only supported 2G network. The Nokia 3310 3G will only be able to deliver up to 6.5 hours of talk time. Despite of that slight disadvantage, standby time is actually longer than the 2G model.

This is why the Nokia 3310 was not launched in the U.S. as 2G is one of the older networks that carriers across the country are in the process of shutting down. All bodies will have a matte finish and will offer a silver keypad.
