"Unprovoked firing by Pak forces on BSF posts across Jammu IB injured 3 BSF troopers (in Poonch & Jammu districts yesterday)", the Border Security Force (BSF) said in a tweet.

The exchanges of firing between the Indian soldiers and the Pakistan terrorists continued till Friday morning.

Last year, Indian and Pakistani soldiers engaged in some of the worst fighting along the Line of Control since the two nations agreed to the cease-fire accord.

Pakistan has accused India of committing more than 700 ceasefire violations in the first nine months of this year which has resulted in the killing of 32 Pakistani civilians. It urged India to respect the 2003 ceasefire agreement and investigate various incidents that have taken along the LoC.

"Indian troops initiated an unprovoked Cease Fire Violation (CFV) using mortars and automatics targeting the innocent civil population along the working boundary in Phuklian sector".
