Fans Settle Lawsuit With Live Nation Over Cancelled Janet Jackson Shows

Janet Jackson

Before Janet took the stage, one-minute video introduction opens with the names of black men who were killed by police officers: Eric Garner, Michael Brown, and Jonathan Ferrell.

The choice of opening song, a socially conscious tune which calls out prejudice, ignorance, and bigotry, was particularly special for fans as Janet hasn't performed The Knowledge, or her follow-up track State of the World, since 1990. It's followed by audio clips of personalities and protestors denouncing white supremacy and inequality.

Jackson postponed her tour past year, after announcing that she was pregnant with her first child. She kept the crowd on it's feet throughout the night, running through classic hits like "Control", "Love Will Never Do Without You" and "If" while showing off her fantastic post-baby body in a bevy of stunning outfits.

Jackson quietly married Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012, and the two welcomed son, Eissa, this past January.

The State of the World Tour will continue on Saturday (09Sep17) in Houston, Texas, after Janet insisted the show would go on despite the fact residents in the city are still recovering from the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey late last month (Aug17).

She's not only a new mother but also a great performer and a hot woman! "We're going to roll in early because we wanted to visit some of the shelters", she announced. "So I will see you Friday".

'I thought it was important that you be the first to know.
