Giants WR Odell Beckham: Going in the right direction

WATCH: Eli Manning sacked as NBC introduces his starting offensive line

That's an admission that he won't be 100 percent if he does indeed play on Monday night versus the Detroit Lions. Since 2011, Vereen has averaged 4.3 yards per rush attempt and 8.9 yards per reception, a well-balanced approach that has allowed him to have a nice albeit under the radar National Football League career.

Shelby Harris got a hand on Younghoe Koo's 44-yard field goal attempt with a second left, and the Broncos began the Vance Joseph era with a 24-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night.

During the offseason, Beckham had expressed a desire to negotiate his deal, and appears to know just how much he's worth.

The Giants' star wide receiver participated in practice for the first time since spraining his left ankle in the team's August 21 preseason game against the Browns.

Unlike traditional run blocking plays that call for each of the offensive linemen to fire off the ball to try and mow down a specific defender, these plays see the big boys up front look for a defender to block in the path the running back is expected to take.

"There's no hiding the fact he's a playmaker", Manning said. If you confidently drafted Darren McFadden (like I did) and are in need of a solid replacement, Vereen should fit the bill given his versatility and his usefulness in alleviating pressure off of Manning. "Our best player. It's pretty obvious". The frail NY offensive line surely had him seeing ghosts, and Marshall appeared sluggish at times getting in and out of his routes.

"I personally don't want to get up at 6:30 every morning to get here for 7 o'clock treatment", Beckham said. "At the end of the day, they are still doing the same things that they have always done", guard Justin Pugh said.

"There's 16 other teams who are 0-1 right now, so everybody had to lose that first game". "We're definitely throwing Dallas in the trash, we're throwing that game in the past".

"We just have to execute".

Two of those losses came at Arrowhead Stadium, which will be the site of Sunday's game against Philadelphia. That would indicate a high ankle sprain. "And I think if we get to OT, we would have finished it off, but we didn't get that chance". You never know. Everybody heals differently ... Got some good guys out there, some new bodies. If we don't have clarity on his status by Sunday morning, hard decisions are going to have to be made. Sep.
