Man United's Paul Pogba 'out for a few matches'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic Reportedly Could Make Manchester United Return in November

Mourinho would not elaborate on suggestions that Pogba had aggravated a long-term hamstring problem, or claims that the midfielder has been working with a personal trainer against club advice.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Luke Shaw has recovered from a foot injury, but he is unclear when the full-back will return to the Manchester United line-up.

Tuesday's long-awaited Champions League return came at a cost, with the 24-year-old only lasting 19 minutes of the 3-0 victory against Basle.

"I don't know how many [games], but we are going to play without Pogba for a few matches but we have other players".

After the match, Mourinho told MUTV: "I don't know (about the severity)".

"He's not playing this weekend".

Mourinho and his staff feel Pogba ignored medical opinion over his long-lasting hamstring injury, as per reports from the Sun.

Pogba missed three matches last season with a similar injury and was instructed by United's medical team on how to avoid suffering the same injury again.

Paul Pogba's hamstring injury has not just left Manchester United without one of their most influential players for just over a month, it's also seen the Frenchman incur the wrath of manager Jose Mourinho.

"I don't know if it's the same one".

Fan favourite Herrera, 28, was voted United's player of the season in 2016-17, but he has been conspicuous by his absence in the new campaign, only making his first start of the season in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Stoke City. We have previously lost players during crucial moments.

And the first test without Pogba comes on Sunday when Everton is the visitor to Old Trafford.

They say the Spain worldwide invited a friend with close links to Celta Vigo to United's training ground shortly before United played the La Liga club in the Europa League semi-final.

The Portuguese also added that Marcos Rojo's rehabilitation from knee surgery has progressed as scheduled, but he is still not back in full training and will only make a complete recovery in the next few months.

Marouane Fellaini will hope to replace Pogba in the starting XI against Everton, having made a goalscoring entrance to the midweek match, but faces stiff competition from Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick.
