Mbappe targets Champions League title with PSG

Pele backs Neymar's decision to leave Barcelona to join PSG

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said Wednesday the club had nothing to hide as UEFA investigate over alleged violations of its financial fair play rules.

Having signed his first professional contract with the principality club he matured into a 26-goal striker last season as he helped Monaco land the Ligue 1 title and reach the Champions League semi-finals, leading to a call from PSG which he found too tempting to turn down.

The 18-year-old France striker said at the end of last season he had chose to stay with Monaco, but confessed on Wednesday that "certain events happened which made me change my mind".

Kylian Mbappe was presented to the media in an event at Parc des Princes this morning in the French capital.

Mbappe's arrival came after PSG had spent €222m to sign Neymar from Barcelona but said that was not the reason he joined the club.

Pele, who won three World Cups with Brazil, says the move will give Neymar an even better opportunity to showcase his talents.

"He is an additional advantage", said Mbappe.

The 18-year-old addressed Monaco's fans in a message posted on his official Twitter account, saying: "I just wanted to thank you for all the love you've shown me during our time together. In the end, however, I changed my mind and I thought it would have been important to remain in my country and return in the city I have been growing in".

"I have entered into a dressing-room where I have the least medals of anyone. I have a lot to learn and a lot to prove".

"I'm an ambitious player who always wants to improve". I am hungry for titles.

"Being here is like going back home for me".

"I'm starving for trophies and I want to win year after year, starting right now".
