Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi India, confirmed the news through a Tweet stating, "Mi MIX 2 will be launching in India soon".

The display is of 18:9 aspect ratio which has become a standard in bezel-less phones.

Mi Note 3 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at up to 2.2GHz.

Being a flagship device, the Mi Mix 2 packs the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC from Qualcomm with a RAM of 6GB and storage of 64GB/256 GB.

The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi made a slew of announcements today, including the launch of the Mi Mix 2. Mix 2 is speculated to come with a 6.4-inch QHD display. The primary 12MP wide angle lens comes with f/1.8 aperture while the other 12MP telephoto zoom lens comes with F/2.6 aperture and is claimed to deliver improved portrait shots with Bokeh effects.

The Mi MIX 2 Special Edition phone is roughly priced at Rs 46,000. The three variants are priced at RMB 3,299 (Rs 32,400 approximately), RMB 3,599 (Rs 35,000 approximately) and RMB 3,999 (Rs 39,000) respectively. It comes with 6GB RAM and will be available in 64GB / 128GB / 256GB internal storage variants.

Pricing starts at CN¥3,299 (£383, $506) for the 64GB storage model. The company also unwrapped the Mi Note 3, a mid-range smartphone, along with a Mi Notebook Pro laptop. The phone supports global LTE with 6 modes and 43 bands which means the phone is compatible with just about any market. It features 12 megapixels Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25μm large pixels, 4-axis OIS and dual color LED flash. It can't rival the Galaxy Note 8 directly but it can be a cheaper alternative to the South Korean tech giant's expensive phablet. Finally, the phone runs on a 3500mAh non-removable battery which supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. Also, there is a fingerprint sensor mounted at the rear below the main camera. On the front, the device comes with a 5MP secondary camera. It will be available first in China in four variants from 15 September.

The company also claims that the MIUI 9 has been optimised to take advantage of the Mi Mix 2 hardware.

The Mi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch display.
