Arsenal team: Predicted Arsenal line up to face Watford

Mustafi was ruled out for the match against Watford with a hamstring injury

Arsene Wenger has revealed Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi will be out of action until next month due to a hamstring injury.

Mustafi was forced off in the first half of Germany's 5-1 World Cup qualifying victory over Azerbaijan on Sunday and is not expected to return until after the next global break.

Mustafi injured his thigh on worldwide duty with Germany and it was not clear how long he would be sidelined for until manager Arsene Wenger confirmed today that it was approximately one month.

While Spaniard Nacho Monreal is expected to be available, France defender Laurent Koscielny has been nursing a troublesome Achilles which flared up before the worldwide break, while Calum Chambers is recovering from a groin problem. Secondly, Germany had already qualified so I didn't expect him to be out injured as the games would be less intense.

"At the moment, he's not available", commented Wenger.

Alexis Sanchez, who saw his 2018 World Cup dreams crushed when Chile lost to Brazil on Tuesday, will join the group on Friday and Wenger said he would assess the striker's fitness.

Sead Kolasniac, who has impressed so far this season at left-back, has come back from global duty with a minor hip problem too, which is being assessed today.

"It was a very physical game".

Attack: Mesut Ozil is back in contention after recovering from a knee injury that's kept him out for the last four games so the German schemer could get a recall in attack this weekend. "Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow". The player looks happy.

The boost means Wenger could well be presented with a selection headache for the attacking side of his team for Saturday's late kick-off.
