After introducing the Blu S1 smartphone in the United States market, Miami-based smartphone manufacturer Blu Products on Wednesday expanded its Vivo series of smartphones portfolio with the launch a new selfie-centric smartphone, called the "Blu Vivo 8L" in the USA market.

BLU has also included a 5.3-inch 1280×720 display on the Vivo 8L along with an octa-core MediaTek 6753 processor and 3GB of RAM. Carried a sticker price of US$ 199.99 (approximately Rs 13,000), the Blu Vivo 8L is now already made available for purchase in the USA via the e-commerce website Amazon.com in Midnight Black colour option.

This BLU VIVO 8L will be more popular for its imaging technology. The Vivo 8 has the same 13-megapixel rear camera and it features a 16-megapixel selfie flash enabled camera.

Underneath, there's a MediaTek MT6753 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM that is accompanied by 32 GB of native storage. It includes an internal storage of 32 GB and comes with a microSD card storage slot. The new smartphone also features capacitive navigation touch buttons and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed on the rear panel of the device. On the front, the smartphone features a 20-megapixel "Super Selfie" camera with 1/2.8-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. It's equipped with an f/2.0 aperture, real-time HDR, Phase Detection Autofocus, and Laser Focus. The selfie snapper of the Vivo 8L can receive 4x amount of light for wonderful portrait shots and there are 7 beautification presets for selfie videos. As far as dimensions are concerned, the Vivo 8L measures 150.5 xx 74.4 x 8.0mm and its weight is 161 grams.

The cameras are the BLU Vivo 8L's big selling point, but there are other aspects of the phone worth paying attention to. However, the original price tag of the phone is $199.
