Markelle Fultz Out Indefinitely

Through four games this season, Markelle Fultz had averaged 19 minutes a night for the Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to that visit, Fultz also met with two Major League Baseball team doctors.

The 76ers decided to make Fultz the No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 #NBA Draft, taking him over a host of other players with high ceilings.

Fultz was seen by several shoulder specialists who found a scapular muscle imbalance in his right shoulder, but no structural damage to the joint.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz, the top pick in last June's National Basketball Association draft, will be sidelined indefinitely with the right shoulder injury that has hindered him this season, the Sixers said Sunday.

Former No. 1 pick Ben Simmons missed all of last season with an injury and 2014 No. 3 overall pick Joel Embiid played less than 40 games over his first three seasons because of injuries.

Markelle Fultz is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury and won't be re-examined until three weeks from now.

People close to Fultz, including his personal trainer, say Fultz changed his shot because of the discomfort in his shoulder.

Add to that, the visible issue with Fultz's shot. If you've been clinging to Fultz in a re-draft league, this is your cue to cut him for a healthy player. It doesn't appear that Fultz's injury is as grievous as the other's, but you just never know with the 76ers.
