Snapchat Context Cards offer up more information about the Snaps you see

Snapchat

Content partners for Snapchat's Context Cards include Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop, TripAdvisor, Foursquare, and Michelin.

And the firm is confident that as it learns more about how to improve Context Cards, it will be adding more partners and additional information. We've also integrated Stories into Context Cards, making it easy to see more Snaps from the places that interest you.

Context Cards were produced with the help of Vurb, a mobile search company acquired by the Veince-based Snap Inc.in 2016 for over $100 million, the company said.

If a Snap says "more" that means there is more information available and to find out more swipe up on the Snap.

You can also request an Uber or Lyft ride, or reserve a table through OpenTable, Resy, or Bookatable right from Context Cards.

Additional context cards may include: reviews from critics and customers; directions to the venue; opening hours; contact numbers; rides from ride-sharing services; reservations at restaurants; websites for more information; more Snaps from around that area.

The Context Cards will always show you have most relevant information first. Context Cards won't be limited to single Snaps either, as Snapchat is integrating them into Stories as well. For a peek at how Context Cards work, check out the video below.

Snapchat's latest update wants to make it harder for you to close the app once you've started Snapping.

For Snapchat users who are 25 years-old and younger this rises to 40 minutes a day. That will let users access related posts submitted to Our Story (if they're tagged at or near the location) as well as imagery from partners.
