Trump Says "Puerto Rico" Repeatedly in a Spanish Accent

President Donald Trump speaks before signing a National Manufacturing Day Proclamation in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington Friday Oct. 6 2017

Sanders talked right over Reid and said that the San Juan mayor made "zero comments" when President Trump opened the table for discussion during his visit to PR.

When asked again what he meant, Trump said only: "You'll find out".

Reporters were led hastily to the grand State Dining Room, where they walked into a scene of the president, his highest-ranking military aides and their spouses posing for a group photo. "Have you guys seen any change in Pakistani behaviour in those six weeks?" she was asked.

He dramatically paused and then said: "Maybe it's the calm before the storm".

"Could be the calm before the storm", the president said.

Trump followed that line of thought on Friday, when reporters asked him about his cryptic remark at a White House event.

North Korea fired a missile over Japan last month and tested a hydrogen bomb, prompting Trump to insist that "all options were on the table" in an implied threat of pre-emptive military action.

Mr Trump would not say.

On the previous day, Melania has dressed down - for her - in a black, double-breasted suit jacket with classic white shirt and black cigarette trousers for a meeting with senior military leaders and their wives at the White House. Friday, Oct. 6, the Cheeto-in-Chief was hosting a salutation at the White House for Hispanic Heritage Month. She also argued the Mayor was "politicizing" the visit rather than "focusing on the relief efforts".

To another question, if U.S. citizens and adversaries should take those remarks seriously, Sanders said, "I think you can take the president protecting the American people always extremely serious". Trump was criticized for the moment, with NyMag noting that the president appeared to be acting "a big ol' dummy who forgot what you were doing eight seconds ago".

He also denounced Iran, saying the country should not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, and offered another stark warning to North Korea's Kim Jong Un. We salute all of those who defend our nation and who defend our way of life.
