Video of officer punching woman at Miami football game under investigation


Police are investigating a videotaped altercation where a University of Miami football fan slaps an officer, who then punches her in the head.

The 14-second video was first shared by Barstool UMiami, and appears to show four male police officers pick up a woman in a UM t-shirt.

Bridget Freitas, a 30-year-old nurse has been charged with felony battery on a police officer and a misdemeanor disorderly conduct, NBC affiliate KARE11 reported.

"Promoting a safe and secure environment during any special event is our primary concern", lvaro Zabaleta, a Miami-Dade police detective, told the Independent. Ross responds by punching her in the face. According to the report, the officers tried to calm Frietas down and move her to the stadium concourse.

Authorities said Farrington hid her daughter's body in the trunk of her 2013 Nissan Altima for several days.

A man throwing away garbage Sunday afternoon at the Tuscany Place Apartments in Miami-Dade County discovered her body and called 911, according to a news release.

While the woman was being carried on top of the policemen's shoulders, she swings her hand and tries to hit the head of one of the policemen carrying her.

University of Miami officials said they were aware of the video and were also gathering information.
